Looking through this collection this morning, I noticed again, and thought I would share an insight. If you look through these paintings you will see most of the paintings are of the perspective of looking down. Lots of sidewalks. I painted this collection during my chemo and radiation treatments, and I often wonder if physically I kept my head and thus vision on the ground, or I was just emotionally wore down and always looking down. The only paintings not looking down, were scenes viewed from park benches around the Harmon Park. Douglas Polk, May 3, 2012
