the earth shakes,
and time stops for thousands,
innocent,
asleep in their beds,
life again seems so fragile,
and we humans so small,
the survivors look to tomorrow,
yet the days have no hours,
trying to make it moment to moment,
the cycle of the sun,
the cycle of the seasons,
timeless,
only moments to make it through.
